“It’s a beautiful looking, new space in West Portal. There was obviously much thought that went into the look and feel. It works well to both invite you in and make you stay! I enjoyed browsing through their craft cocktail list. The drinks are creative but not so funky that they would give you pause. I decided to have a few “Stairways to Heaven” after my starter martini. Delicious-really! My non-bourbon drinking partner wound up having a few too. Drinks are $15. Cards are accepted. Service was good. Their outdoor parklet offers quite a lot of additional seating and is also nicely designed…”

“A new addition to the West Portal neighborhood, the Sherwood takes the place of the old Portals bar, in a completely redesigned space. It’s very elegant inside, with high ceilings and comfortable seating. The outside parklet is spacious and has plenty of space between tables. Drinks are $15 for cocktails and $7 to $8 for beers. They have a very good selection of beers of all kinds. I tried the old fashioned on tap, and it was delicious. I think this is a great place and a good higher end alternative to the other drinking establishments in the area.”

“Great little cocktail lounge in West Portal. Beautifully designed interior, especially the bathroom. $15 cocktails but they were relatively large. Large bar and some comfortable seating areas in the front and back. Will definitely be coming back here! Wide range of beer, they even had hard kombucha!”

“This bar is beautiful!! Love the cozy yet modern vibe. There’s a lot of seating inside (bar, fireplace couches) plus ample seating outdoors. Cocktails were delicious as well! Will definitely be returning!”
